Lahore Continental Hotel, Lahore

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room I booked through Booking was not available upon my arrival, even though I checked in well past the original check-in time. Despite friendly service and convenient amenities, this experience was not good at all.

The hotel has a great location near main shopping areas and key city areas. The rooms, though old-style, are spacious, clean, and hygienic with a lovely parquet floor. The service was cooperative but could improve on manners and hallway presence. Dining was modest and needs enhancement. Overall, a satisfactory stay with some room for improvements.

Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location was excellent, being central to many points of interest in Lahore and with cooperative staff close by, but the rooms were in the basement without sunlight, leading to noise disturbances from vehicles overnight. The service, although friendly, seemed overwhelmed when issues were raised, and the dining experience did not meet expectations as the breakfast was not available as advertised.

I booked a room through Booking, and despite a slight smoking smell that the hotel couldn't control due to guests smoking in the room, I found the room to be clean, wonderful, and with a great ambiance. The staff is incredibly helpful, especially the receptionist. However, they charged me 1k and didn't arrange to bring back my wife to the hotel at midnight, which was a downside.
